Theme Options

Navigate to the bottom of the left WordPress admin sidebar and select Novela Options.

The options here are pretty self-explanatory. We will stop only on some of them:

Tracking Code

Here you can paste your Google Analytics tracking code. Make sure it's wrapped in <script> tags.

General > Custom CSS

Here you can use your knowledge to add additional styling CSS code to further customize your theme.

Social

Here you can enter the URLs to your social profiles. Make sure they start with "http://".

An icon for the social profile will appear only if there is something entered into the field.

Setting Up The Homepage

To set up the home page where you'll insert the sections with your content you'll first have to create a Front Page Template (see the Content section) and after that do the following steps:

• Go to Settings > Reading
• Change the Front Page to the Page Template that you've already created

• Hit Save Changes and you are done.

Setting Up the Menu

To customize the navigation menu go to Appearance > Menus and customize it as you'll normally do on a WordPress site. To create a dropdown menu item that doesn't navigate anywhere create a link with URL equals to '#'.

And don't forget to check the Theme Location at the bottom to be Sidebar Menu.

When you are done, click Save Menu.
