SUBSOLAR DESIGNS
Panino is no longer sold on ThemeForest. Your licence still stands and this documentation stays up. If your Envato support period hasn't expired, open a ticket and we'll help as usual. Once it has expired we can't take new tickets for it, and there are no further theme updates coming.

Theme Options

Configure global settings, navigation menus, and widget areas.

Navigate to Appearance > Theme Settings in the Admin Sidebar.

The options here are very clear:

General

Here you can add a logo or title for the Navigation as well as the items position. You can also specify the Footer type - its Background Type, Text and Text Color. The footer widgets can be added in the Appearance > Widgets menu where they can be put into three Footer Columns.

The Google API Key field is for the proper usage of the Google Maps throughout the Theme.

Styling and Layout

You can style the 404 Error Page here. It can be with a custom background color or a background image. Here you can also change the Main Colors of the Theme and write Custom CSS.

Food Menu

Here you can add Tags, which you can select for the different dishes in your Food Menu.

More information on how to create the Food Menu in the Creating a Food Menu section.

Typography

Select the Artistic, Heading, Subheading and Body fonts of your site.

Social

Here you can put your MailChimp API Key and List ID, which are used for the [Subsolar Designs] MailChimp Newsletter Widget and the Unyson MailChimp Newsletter Shortcode.

Setting Up the Menu

To customize the navigation menu go to Appearance > Menus and customize it as you'll normally do on a WordPress site.

When you edit each of the Menu Items, you can select an Icon for it, that will be displayed next to its label.

And don't forget to check the Theme Location at the bottom of the page to select where you want it to be displayed.

If you want to add additional pages to the menu like Food Menus click on Screen Options in the upper right corner of the page and check the types that you want to appear as items for the menu navigation.

When you are done, click Save Menu.

Widgets

Go to Appearance > Widgets. There you can find multiple places where you can put Widgets.

  • The Main Sidebar is used in the Blog and Blog Posts.
  • There are also Three Footer Columns where you can put widgets. No matter how many columns you choose to put widgets in, they always take the full footer width. For example: if you have widgets in the first and second column - each one of the columns will take 50% of the footer width, so both of them will take the full 100% width.
